Welcome to Jurassic Outpost, a news site dedicated to Jurassic Park, Jurassic World, and everything else Jurassic. We’re devoted to bringing you the latest news and content for the franchise, and drive fun discussion and discovery via our podcast, interviews, social media feeds, encyclopedia and much more!
Website
Originally founded in 2008 under the name JurassicParkIV.org, the website served as a news source for updates on the fourth Jurassic Park film, which was in development hell for quite some time.
On November 11, 2013 the website rebranded as JurassicWorld.org with the announcement from Universal Pictures that Colin Trevorrow would be directing the long-awaited sequel.
With a lengthy run up to Jurassic World with multiple podcasts, interviews, and exclusives, the team began to work on re-branding for a final time. In mid 2015 Jurassic Outpost was conceived and the team began to bring the new website and ideas to fruition.
Jurassic Outpost was launched on June 1, 2016 and was designed by James McQuade and developed by Sam Lihou, with collaborative creative input from the website staff.
On June 1, 2020 to kick off Jurassic June we launched the new website.
